Tributes are flowing from the whānau of the two teenagers killed in the tragic Hamilton crash on Sunday.
Kerihaehae Nepe and Charlie Russell, both 19, have been named as the couple killed in the fiery crash.
At about 3:45am on Sunday, emergency services were called to Ulster St in Whitiora following the crash between a car and a truck.
Footage of the scenes that followed the crash showed police officers putting their lives on the line as they pulled four people from the burning vehicle.
Two people were rushed to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.
Nepe's father Melvin Te Waka shared memories and a tribute to his daughter saying: "My big girl, my number one, my honey girl.
"I don't even know what to say or how to feel. This is not fair. I f**ken love you.
"I'm gonna miss you, baby. I already do. Rest in love, my honey girl."
Russell's sister, Natalia Sinclair, also shared a tribute to the pair.
"Love yous so much [sic]... May you rest in love, happiness and peace, look after each other up there I know y'all will xoxox love yous."
Nepe's cousin, Tiana Te Maro Mankelow, also shared a tribute on Facebook saying she was "stil tryna rap [sic] my head around all this".
"[I] was up all night with you on my mind. It just don't feel real my cous & I don't know what to say or feel. I love you, my beautiful cousin."
An investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
