An associate of the man sought over a fatal shooting on Auckland's Queen St earlier this month is also now being hunted by the police.
The shooting happened on August 4 near the intersection of Queen and Fort Sts. Police said officers were called to the scene after reports of fighting among a small group, where one person pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots.
Two people were subsequently rushed to the hospital, one of whom later died.
Dariush Talagi, the 24-year-old suspect has not yet been located and it's believed "individuals are aiding him in evading arrest", police said. One of those individuals is 23-year-old Tiari Boon-Harris.
"The investigation team are seeking any information on the whereabouts of Tiari Boon-Harris as part of our investigation," Det Snr Sgt Craig Bolton said. "We believe she is in the company of Talagi and assisting him.
"We are also reminding Talagi's associates that being an accessory after the fact for murder is a criminal offence and you could be liable to prosecution," Bolton added.
Anyone who sees Talagi or Boon-Harris was urged to call 111 immediately.
