Auckland police have released the name of the man who died in the Queen Street shooting last week.
Sione Tuuholoaki, 26, died in hopsital on Friday.
As police continue their homicide investigation, Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Bolton said it is a "very difficult" time for Tuuholoaki's whānau.
"Our thoughts are with Sione’s family as they continue to grieve their loss."
Det Snr Sgt Bolton said the second man injured in Thursday night's shooting remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Det Snr Sgt Bolton said it is police's "absolute priority" to find the alleged shooter Dariush Talagi.
"[Our] enquiries have continued throughout the weekend," he said.
"Our investigation team are continuing to work hard to bring them answers and to ensure the person responsible is held to account."
He said it is "only a matter of time Dariush", "and now is the time to hand yourself in".
Det Snr Sgt Bolton had a message to anyone who is helping Talagi evade police "to do the right thing".
"Being an accessory after the fact is a criminal offence, and you could be put before the Court."
Police are warning the public that Talagi is considered dangerous and he "should not" be approached.
If members of the public see Talagi, Det Snr Sgt Bolton urged them to call 111 immediately.
Those with information about Talagi's whereabouts are asked to contact police on 105 and quote file number 230804/3399.
Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
