Two people have died and two others have been seriously injured after a two-car crash in Te Aroha, Waikato.
In a statement on Saturday evening, police confirmed the deaths following the crash on State Highway 26.
SH26 at Mangaiti - about 5 minutes' drive north of Te Aroha - remains closed for now.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
