Shocking dashcam footage captured the nail-biting moment a Toyota ute came very close to a head-on collision while overtaking on a blind corner.
The footage was captured along State Highway 73 near Porters Pass at the weekend and shows the ute overtaking a long line of traffic on a blind corner.
The terrifying footage shows the ute hooning down a steep stretch of road, before swinging back into the left lane as a vehicle approached - coming very close to crashing head-on.
Not long after, the ute swings out from the left lane again, continuing to overtake the line of traffic held up by a caravan ahead.
A police spokesperson said they received a report of traffic offending on West Coast Rd, Castle Hill, at about 3:35pm on Saturday
The spokesperson said police are in the "initial phase of assessment".
