An investigation is underway into a late-night smash and grab and attempted robbery, with the offenders remaining on the lam.
At about 10:50pm on Tuesday, at least four offenders arrived by car at a Manukau clothing store on Ronwood Dr.
A police spokesperson said the offenders smashed a window to gain entry to what appears to be a Kathmandu store. They later fled with a "small amount" of merchandise.
The spokesperson said as part of investigations into the late-night smash and grab, officers are also looking into an earlier attempted burglary at a Clevedon petrol station.
At about 7:20pm, offenders attempted to gain entry to the service station on Clevedon-Papakura Rd but failed.
"The petrol station was closed at the time and the offenders did not gain entrance, fleeing in a vehicle," the spokesperson said.
Anyone with information on the Manukau burglary is urged to contact police on 105 and quote file number 230906/7018.
