A person has been seriously injured in west Auckland after the second reported stabbing in the space of 30 minutes.
A police spokesperson said emergency services are responding to an incident that occurred at 1:15pm in the Auckland suburb of Waterview, where a person has been found with injuries.
"One person has since been transported to hospital in a serious, but non-life-threatening, condition," the spokesperson said.
A Newshub camera person spoke to a colleague of the person who was seriously injured who said it was a stabbing. This has yet to be confirmed by police.
The police spokesperson said officers are making enquiries into what happened, including how the person was injured.
"However, initial enquiries suggest there is no risk to the public in relation to this incident," the spokesperson said.
Hato Hone St John said it was notified of the incident in Waterview at about 1:14pm.
St John responded with an ambulance, one rapid response unit and an operations manager.
"Our ambulance officers treated and transported one patient, in a serious condition, to Auckland Hospital," St John said.
It comes just 25 minutes after a person was critically injured and another left with minor injuries after a serious incident at the Albany bus station at 12:50pm on Monday.
Police have asked the public to "stay clear" of the bus station.
"At this stage, enquiries are ongoing to locate the person responsible," police said about the incident in Albany.
A witness told Stuff there was a lot of blood and someone had been stabbed - although this has not been confirmed by police
