Fog is causing major delays at Auckland Airport, with a number of flights disrupted because of the weather.
Auckland Airport put fog restrictions in place on Thursday morning, which has seen 26 domestic regional flights cancelled – 13 of them departures – and 16 flights delayed - 11 of them arrivals.
Domestic flights to Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown have not been affected by the fog.
The airport is advising passengers to check with their airline for more information regarding the latest flight information.
Auckland Airport said international flights had not been affected by the fog.
The fog is also affecting ferry services on Thursday morning.
Auckland Transport warned of delays to all Bayswater, Birkenhead, Devonport, Half Moon Bay and Hobsonville ferry services due to fog in the Waitemata Harbour.
