Armed police are responding to a gun sighting in the central Auckland suburb of Parnell on Sunday morning.
A section of Judges Bay Rd near the entrance to the Parnell Baths is cordoned off.
Police said the reported sighting was at 9am and there is no risk to the public.
"A cordon was put in place while police investigated, members of the public are not at risk," a police spokesperson said.
"Enquiries are ongoing and no further information is available at this stage."

Residents in a local Facebook group said police are armed with assault rifles by the rose gardens, just up from the baths.
Another local said there were "lots of police on foot" with rifles on Gladstone Rd at about 9:15am.
