A man has been injured after being shot while sitting inside his car at a south Auckland carpark on Wednesday evening.
A police spokesperson said a 41-year-old man was sitting in his car parked on Marjorie Jayne Crescent in Ōtāhuhu at around 6:25pm when two men approached.
"The victim was then shot through the driver’s window screen," the spokesperson said.
The man then drove himself to the Whitecross Accident and Emergency Centre on Lunn Avenue in Mount Wellington where he was then taken to Auckland Hospital.
The 41-year-old then underwent surgery and is now in a stable condition, according to the spokesperson.
