Video has emerged of a campervan blowing over on Monday afternoon as high winds whipped up New Zealand.
Emergency services responded to Mt Cook Rd (State Highway 80) in Canterbury after the campervan was caught out by the gusts, tumbling it over.
No one was injured and no other vehicles were involved, but police officers were forced to block both lanes of the highway as a result.
Strong wind warnings were in place for the majority of the South Island and lower North Island on Monday but have since eased.
Overnight, the winds forced the cancellation of Tuesday's Cook Strait ferry sailings, while parts of Canterbury were without power.
