A moderate earthquake has shaken central New Zealand on Monday morning.
GeoNet's website says the quake struck at about 7:51am at a magnitude of 4.1 and at depth of 12km. It struck 15km west of Pongaroa.
At the time of writing, over 200 people have reported feeling the quake, many of whom said it was weak to light. One person said it felt strong, another said it felt extreme.
