Police have confirmed a person has died after a serious crash in Whangārei on Saturday afternoon.
Police said the crash occurred at 4:30pm on State Highway 1, Kamo in Whangārei.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
It comes after police reported two other serious crashes on Sunday.
The first was near the intersection of Kearney Road and Top Grass Road, between Woodville and Dannevirke.
Police confirmed a person died in the crash that was reported at 5:50am on Sunday but may have occurred overnight.
The second crash was near Wairoa, Hawke's Bay where a person crashed into a slip and received serious injuries.
