Two men charged with the murder of an Auckland couple have entered not-guilty pleas in Auckland High Court on Wednesday morning.
The two accused, aged 42 and 26, of killing Auckland couple Fuk-Fu Joseph Kowk and Mei Han Chong were remanded in custody and their name suppression continues.
Kwok, 66, was allegedly stabbed to death in his Ellerslie home after midnight on Saturday, November 4.
His death was first treated as "unexplained" but later, a homicide investigation was launched by police.
Det Insp Scott Beard said Kwok was killed in a violent and brutal manner. The couple’s vehicle was allegedly taken, and Chong was reported missing.
She was eventually located deceased in bushland in the Auckland suburb of Greenhithe.
The family's vehicle was also found at an unrelated address on Hall Road in Glenfield with a different registration number.
A trial date was set for April 2025.
