Four people have been arrested as part of another police crackdown on boy racers in Manawatū.
A police statement said officers also impounded six vehicles during the crackdown, which happened between 6pm on Friday and 4am on Saturday.
"Four arrests were made and 17 speeding infringements were issued overnight as police focused on anti-social road users and their continued harm across Manawatū," the statement noted.
Police said the four people arrested were charged with driving while disqualified, failing to stop, drink driving and endangering transport.
"We continue to encourage people to report this behaviour to police at the time and we will respond as appropriate, assessing the risk each situation presents," the statement said.
Those taking part in anti-social driving behaviour "will be held accountable", the statement added,
"Police acknowledge that this behaviour is incredibly frustrating for our community, in terms of the noise it generates, risk it poses and the damage it causes."
