A man is facing seven charges after allegedly hitting and injuring six people with a car in Auckland on Sunday.
The man allegedly hit the crowd on Prince Regent Drive in Auckland's Half Moon Bay at around 5:30pm.
Footage from the scene shows a bus stop damaged while the grass next to it had blood stains.
A neighbour, who witnessed the incident, told Newshub a person was hit against a fence by the man driving the car.
In an update on Monday morning, police said a 22-year-old man, who was arrested at the time, is facing numerous charges.
He is facing seven charges, including wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and injures with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is expected in the Manukau District Court on Monday.
Hato Hone St John said they responded to the incident with four ambulances, two rapid response vehicles and one operations manager.
St John confirmed six people were injured, two seriously, two moderately and the rest had minor injuries.
Police said on Monday that those who were hospitalised remain in a stable condition.
"Police understand this incident has caused great concern amongst the community, and we are continuing to investigate the circumstances of what took place," a spokesperson said.
