A 25-year-old security guard has been named as the man killed at a park in west Auckland early on Monday morning.

"It is with deep sadness that Armourguard confirms 25-year-old Ramandeep Singh - a security patrolman working for the organisation via a contractor - was found deceased in Massey, Auckland yesterday morning," Amourguard general manager New Zealand Shane O'Halloran said.

"We send our sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Ramandeep and are offering our full support to them during this difficult time."

Singh was found unresponsive at the Royal Reserve Park in Beauchamp Drive at around 12:10am on Monday. Police pronounced him dead at the scene.
