A three-storey home under construction has been destroyed in an early morning morning fire on Auckland's North Shore.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) crews were called to the property on Kathleen St, Tōtara Vale shortly before 5am.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found the house "well-involved" in fire and further crews were called for.
At 5:30am, the fire was contained to the property – which measured 30x15m. Five fire trucks and two ladder trucks worked on the blaze.
FENZ confirmed there were no reported injuries and no indication the property was occupied, as it was a home under construction.
A fire investigator will head to the scene later on Thursday.
Meanwhile, investigators are due back at the site of a building fire in Hamilton on Thursday morning.
The boat storage facility in Te Rapa went up in flames at 5:30pm on Wednesday.
An emergency alert issued for toxic smoke has now been lifted and the fire extinguished.
Investigations into the cause are ongoing.
