Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) received multiple calls about the blaze in a block of shops on Russell Road in the south Auckland suburb of Manurewa just before 4am.

FENZ and police have both confirmed the blaze is being treated as suspicious and investigators will be on-site to complete a scene examination and determine the cause.
Police have urged anyone with information or footage about the blaze to come forward and speak to them.
