One person is suspected to be dead after a serious crash in Napier.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Kennedy Road at 12.29am Monday.
"The crash involved two vehicles and initial indications suggest one person is deceased," a police spokesperson said.
Police said Kennedy Road is now closed between Maadi Road and Bill Hercock Street while emergency services navigate the scene.
Diversions are in place, however, motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and to expect slight delays if travelling.
