Police have now revealed the name of the man who died after jumping from a crane in Wellington Harbour on Friday.
The man has been identified as 33-year-old Jarreth Colquhoun.
Colquhoun failed to surface after he jumped from the Hikitia Floating Crane, which is permanently moored to the Taranaki Street Wharf.
Emergency services were first alerted at 12:45pm and the police dive squad eventually found Colquhoun's body in the water just after 2:30pm on Friday.
Two similar deaths happened in 2015 and 1996, from the same crane.
A police spokesperson said Police are assisting the Coroner with routine inquiries into his death.
"Our thoughts remain with Jarreth's family and friends," they said.
