Police have launched an investigation after an early-morning aggravated robbery by a group of thieves in south Auckland.
A police spokesperson said officers were called at around 3:40am on Thursday morning after a group of up to five people smashed their way into a commercial premises on East Tamaki Road in Ōtara.
The spokesperson confirmed a "number of items were taken" before the alleged thieves fled in a silver Nissan Primera and a silver Toyota Raum.
"Fortunately, no one was injured."
Police urge anyone with information about the aggravated robbery to come forward and speak to them.
