The search for a missing swimmer at Auckland's Piha Beach is set to resume on Monday morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the missing 37-year-old man at about 5:20pm on Sunday evening.
Police say a large area was searched on Sunday before efforts were suspended for the night.
Surf Life Saving New Zealand, the Coastguard and the Police Eagle Helicopter will all be involved in Monday's search efforts.
