A street in Ōtara is swarming with police on Thursday morning as officers carry out a preplanned search warrant.
A spokesperson said officers are at an address on Hill Road to carry out a warrant and investigation.
They said there is no ongoing risk to residents in relation to the search.
Footage from the scene shows a large gathering of police and areas of the street cordoned off.
The road is closed in both directions with detours in place. Some bus routes have been affected.
