Auckland motorists are facing delays on Wednesday morning after several crashes on major motorways around the city.
The first crash happened on State Highway 20A at around 6:25am, with the crash blocking southbound lanes for a period of time heading towards Auckland Airport.
The crash closed two lanes for around 30 minutes, but they have since reopened. The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is warning motorists to expect delays until vehicle recovery has been completed.
A police spokesperson said two vehicles collided before the intersection with Landing Drive, but no serious injuries were reported.
Police warn motorists heading to the airport to expect some delays following the crash.
Just before 7am, a truck breakdown on State Highway 1 Northern Motorway blocked one southbound middle lane after the Greville Rd on-ramp. It has since been cleared.
"Pass with care and expect delays until cleared," NZTA said.
Then 10 minutes later, motorists on SH1 Southern Motorway also briefly faced delays on Wednesday morning after a breakdown blocked a northbound lane between Mt Wellington Highway and Southeastern Highway.
The vehicle was has since been pushed cleared of lanes but delays remain
