A man has been charged with murder in relation to the death of Mongrel Mob boss Steven Taiatini.
Taiatini was hit and killed by a car in Ōpōtiki's St John St in June after an altercation.
A 50-year-man, who had already been charged with perverting the course of justice, is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
Two other men remain before the courts on other charges relating to the death.
"Police are still interested in hearing from anyone with information that may be useful to us about what happened," a statement said.
