A motorcyclist has died after a crash on State Highway 30 in the Bay of Plenty.
The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, took place around 5.50pm on Saturday near the intersection with Luxton Road in Awakeri.
The road was closed while the Serious Crash Unit examined the scene.
Motorists were asked to continue taking alternative routes where possible.
