Armed police have responded alongside firefighters to a house ablaze in west Auckland overnight.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand crews rushed to the property on Red Hills Rd just after 8pm.
Five firetrucks responded along with armed police. Gang members were also present near the scene, police said.
The blaze was extinguished shortly after 11pm and no one was injured.
"At this stage, the fire is being treated as unexplained and enquiries by emergency services will continue this morning to determine the full circumstances," a police spokesperson said.
