The upper North Island was rattled by a 4.1-magnitude earthquake on Saturday afternoon.
GeoNet said the quake, the epicentre of which was 40km west of Kawhia, was a shallow 5km.
"Felt that at Te Akau," said Te Akau Racing Club on X.
The quake, which struck just before 1:30pm, was felt as far north as Auckland and as far south as Whanganui, with most describing the shaking as "weak", according to GeoNet's reporting map.
