Thousands of dollars worth of goods have been stolen from Farmhouse Lodge, just a few kilometres out of Hastings.
CCTV footage shows a group of people driving into the property's carpark on Monday morning, before entering the building and loading their car up.
"We trade in liquidated goods and they started carrying out air con units, electrical parts and leather among other things," said Dawson Bliss.
"It's around 20 thousand dollars worth."
He's owned the lodge since 2004 and said this is the first time something like this has happened.
"Residents are upset about it," Bliss said.
"Not just the fear of people coming back and doing that, but fear of them losing their own gear of course."
But possibly the most shocking part of the footage, is a young girl appearing amongst the group, looking on as the burglary takes place.
"No doubt wondering what's going on," said Bliss.
He said despite calling 111 on Monday night and logging the incident on the non-emergencies line 105, police took more than three days to turn up.
In that time, a motorbike was also stolen from the lodge in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police have told Newshub they've now been to the property and an investigation into both incidents is underway.
They say they're reviewing the CCTV footage and are continuing to investigate.
