Police are understood to be engaged in a stand-off after a "family-harm related incident" in Port Waikato.
Police first responded to an address on Maunsell Road shortly before 9am on Thursday.
A Police spokesperson said there are "concerns for a person's wellbeing".
When asked if there was a standoff they said, "that appears to be the case".

The Police Eagle Helicopter has been flying above the property.
No injuries have been reported and there is no immediate risk to the public, the spokesperson confirmed.
