A plane has slid off the runway at Christchurch Airport on Friday morning.
Emergency services were notified at about 7:45am.
Police said there are no reports of injuries. The Jetstar aircraft was towed to the gate for passengers to disembark.
"After landing in Christchurch, the aircraft experienced a steering issue, causing it to veer on the runway at low speed," Jetstar said in a statement.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand said crews, including six trucks, one ladder unit and a command unit, were called to assist.
St John also responded with two rapid response vehicles but said they weren't needed.
Newshub understands there are delays at Wellington Airport as a result. Flight tracking shows several planes have been diverted to Wellington from Christchurch.
Four flights have also been cancelled out of Christchurch Airport, according to the departures board.
