Woman injured in 'violent' robbery involving screwdriver-wielding men in Papakura, Auckland

A woman has been left injured after an aggravated robbery in Papakura this morning.

Police say two men entered a store armed with screwdrivers, making demands, shortly before 7:30am on Tuesday.

The woman was assaulted and left with minor injuries. The men fled the scene.

Detective Inspector Karen Bright, Counties Manukau CIB, said police are working hard to identify and locate those responsible.

"This type of violent behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated," Det Insp Bright said in a statement.

Police thanked the members of the public who were present and provided information.
