An investigation is underway into a drive-by shooting in south Auckland's Māngere on Monday night.
Emergency services responded to reports of a gun being fired towards an address on Plumley Cres about 8:40pm.
Newshub footage shows a property cordoned off with bullet holes in the windows.
"Thankfully, no injuries have been reported in relation to this matter," police said in a statement.
"Police enquiries will continue today and the Māngere community can expect to see an increased police presence in the area."
A man who was home at the time told Newshub there were two children - aged 2 and 6 - at the property when the shooting took place.
He described feeling in shock following the shooting.
The family had to leave the house for the night, while armed police officers guarded the scene.
"We encourage anyone else who was in the area or has information to assist who has not yet spoken to us, to please get in touch," the police spokesperson told Newshub.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact police via the 105 phone service or online, referencing file number P059152719.
