A large number of Honda motorbikes have been recalled due to issues with the hand grip.
"Due to poor glue adhesion, the left-hand grip can rotate and detach from the handlebar," Product Safety New Zealand said on its website.
"Loss of balance and/or control may occur if the left-hand grip rotates or detaches from the hand bar."
The recall notice was issued earlier this month, with owners of affected models told to contact their nearest Honda Motorcycle dealer.
The item should be replaced free of charge.
A full list of VIN numbers for affected bikes can be found on the Product Safety New Zealand website.
