Serious crash between motorcyclist and car in west Auckland

A person has been taken to hospital after a serious crash in west Auckland on Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened between a car and motorcycle at the intersection of Great North Road and Felgrove Street in Glendene.

"Initial indications suggest there are serious injuries," Police said in a statement.

Traffic management is in place at the scene and one lane is blocked.

Police have advised motorists to avoid the area.
