A weak earthquake near Wellington on Tuesday morning may have been an early wake up call for some.
The 3.8 magnitude jolt struck at 6:54am, 20 kilometres east of Paraparaumu, according to GeoNet.
So far, 56 people have reported feeling the quake, which was 51km deep.
