The number of Auckland homes targeted by gunmen continues to grow, with police responding to another incident last night.
Police have confirmed a house on East Tāmaki Road in Ōtara was shot at shortly before 8pm last night.
A police spokesperson said no one was injured, and they are encouraging anyone who was in the area who has information to get in touch.
It's the latest in a series of shootings spanning Auckland.
Last week Newshub spoke with a resident on Plumley Cres, Māngere, who had several bullet holes left in the front of their property.
Edward Ru livestreamed the aftermath, and later told Newshub the house had been disrespected.
"My kids had just finished their McDonalds and then they came into the room to watch TV and then bang, bang, bang... and that's all I can really say".
The earliest incident Newshub is aware of was on May 30, when shots were fired on Ellis Ave, Mt Roskill, before a convoy of cars was seen fleeing.
A person was later dropped off at Middlemore Hospital with a gunshot wound however it is unclear if this was linked.
Then in June, two homes were hit in one night on Haddon Street, Māngere East, and in a housing complex on Ahuwhenua Cres, Onehunga.
In Mid-June, a witness told the Herald six or seven shots were heard being fired at a house on Roscommon Road in Weymouth.
A truce was eventually called and tensions simmered.
Please are urging anyone with information on the latest incident in Ōtara to contact them on the 105 service, referencing the job number P059221872.
