On July 6, 2024, the Newshub television bulletin on ThreeNow and TV Three was replaced by a Stuff-produced bulletin ThreeNews. This is part of a deal struck by Stuff and Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) following WBD's decision to close its news operations, including Newshub.

Newshub.co.nz will soon be redirected to Stuff.co.nz, where available Newshub content from the past several years will be migrated if possible. Here's what to expect:

What happens to Newshub.co.nz?

Newshub.co.nz is now a holding site for the archives of the wonderful Newshub journalists, while we work to migrate available content over to Stuff.co.nz.

Newshub's website, app and social networks are no longer being updated, so for your daily digital news, politics, sport and weather head to Stuff.co.nz. If you're an app fan, you can download the Stuff apps on Apple and Android here now. You can follow @nzstuff on TikTok and Instagram.

Stuff is the number one news website in Aotearoa. And it's a great fit for the next generation of ThreeNews. When announcing the new partnership, Stuff Group owner and publisher Sinead Boucher highlighted Newshub and Three's incredible 35 years of gutsy, independent journalism - values that Stuff shares and is proud to continue to uphold.

Alongside stories, chat and videos from the ThreeNews bulletin, Stuff.co.nz has many of the essential news experiences you previously came to Newshub.co.nz for - breaking and in-depth New Zealand, politics, sport, world and entertainment news, videos and podcasts - as well as lots of excellent features including the world-famous-in-NZ Stuff Quiz, email newsletters, commenting, and daily live news coverage.

What about the 6pm Newshub bulletin?

Newshub's 6pm bulletin on ThreeNow and TV Three has been replaced by the Stuff-produced bulletin ThreeNews for an hour on weekdays and half an hour on weekends. It's presented by Sam Hayes, and features a number of your favourite journalists including Jenna Lynch, Lisette Reymer, Heather Keats and Laura Tupou. Alongside this team, Stuff's multimedia journalists around Aotearoa contribute to the bulletin.

You can stream the bulletin on ThreeNow, watch on TV Three, and join the chat and catch up on videos, stories and related content at stuff.co.nz/threenews.
