Independence, courage and initiative are at the core of all Stuff's journalism.
ThreeNews has replaced Newshub in the 6pm bulletin slot on ThreeNow and TV Three. It's a familiar but fresh take on the news you've always enjoyed.
The bulletin is part of a deal between Stuff Group and Warner Bros Discovery (WBD), struck after WBD decided to close its local news operations, including Newshub.

Wait, what's happening?
Newshub's 6pm bulletin on ThreeNow and TV channel Three has been replaced by a Stuff-produced bulletin called ThreeNews. Presented by Sam Hayes, it features a number of your favourite Newshub journalists including Jenna Lynch, Lisette Reymer, Heather Keats and Laura Tupou. Stuff's large team of multimedia journalists across Aotearoa are also contributing to the bulletin.
Why did Stuff take this on?
Stuff and Newshub are kindred spirits in the news world.
When announcing the new bulletin, owner and publisher Sinead Boucher talked about Newshub's history of gutsy, brave journalism - values that Stuff shares and is proud to continue to uphold.
Boucher also said the move was the next step in Stuff's transformation strategy.
"We have strategically reorganised our business from the ground up, investing in new platforms, technology and capability and reshaping the business to be data and digitally-led. This allows us to seize opportunities as they arise, to be bold in our decisions and to set a new course for our journalism and audiences, for our commercial partners and for our future."
Who is Stuff?
Stuff Group is New Zealand's leading media company. It owns the country's most popular news website, Stuff.co.nz, dozens of much loved newspaper and magazine titles - including the Sunday Star-Times, The Press and The Post - as well as Neighbourly. Stuff employs more journalists than any other New Zealand media outlet, and has been serving Kiwis since its oldest newspaper, The Taranaki News (now the Taranaki Daily News), was founded in 1857.
Independence, courage and initiative are at the core of all Stuff's journalism. The company's mission is to help make Aotearoa a better place through independent journalism and innovative services that connect people and communities and underpin democracy. You can read the company's charter here, and editorial code of practice and ethics here.
Stuff is proudly locally owned - Boucher is Stuff's former CEO who bought Stuff in 2000 from its then-Australian owners. A journalist herself, Boucher is a champion of media excellence in New Zealand and is the current Chair of the New Zealand Publishers Association.
