Justin Lester has hinted there might be a recount in the Wellington City mayoralty race.
Final results for the position show only 62 votes separate Lester from Andy Foster, who gained the most votes.
Foster had 27,364 votes, while Lester finished with 27,302.
In third place was Diane Calvert, with 11,471.

Lester tweeted on Friday that the race "might not quite be over yet..."
"It sounds like there will be a recount," he wrote.
Wellington City Council said "a recount would happen if requested by a candidate".
Lester has been approached to confirm whether he has lodged an official request for a recount.
Until being unseated in Saturday's elections, Lester served as the city's mayor from 2016.
Before that he was deputy mayor.
