The National Party has had a bump in the first political poll since Todd Muller took over as leader.
The 1News Colmar Brunton poll has National up 9 points to 38. Labour has dropped 9 points to 50, the Green Party is on 6 and New Zealand First is on 2.
In the preferred Prime Minister stakes, Jacinda Ardern is at 54 percent and Todd Muller is on 13 percent.
Muller became leader in May after National held an emergency caucus meeting following devastating results in a Newshub-Reid Research poll and ousted then-leader Simon Bridges.
It showed Labour would, as it stood, run away with the 2020 general election, and Muller made his move to become leader.
The poll showed National had just 30.6 support from New Zealanders, while Labour had jumped to nearly double that at 56.6 percent. Less than five percent of Kiwis wanted Bridges as Prime Minister.
