Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is holding a post-Cabinet press conference from the Beehive at 4pm on Monday.
It comes as New Zealand recorded its eighth and ninth active COVID-19 cases earlier in the day.
The Government has come under fire recently for its management of quarantine and managed isolation facilities, starting last week when two coronavirus-positive sisters were allowed to leave an Auckland hotel without being tested.
It was recently revealed as many as 2400 people were released from managed isolation or quarantine facilities without a single COVID-19 test.
