Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is holding a post-Cabinet press conference to announce a decision on the COVID-19 restrictions across New Zealand.
Auckland has been under alert level 3 for almost two weeks while the rest of the country has been under level 2, and the Prime Minister will announce if the restrictions will be lifted at 11:59pm on Wednesday or extended.
It comes as the Ministry of Health reported on Monday eight new confirmed cases and one probable case of COVID-19 in the community.
