Parliament is kicking off after Governor-General Dame Patsy Reddy gave her Speech from the Throne, which outlined the Government's legislative policy and plans for the next three years.
Parliament resumes at 2pm when maiden speeches will begin, the first being Labour's Arena Williams and Ibrahim Omer.
That will be followed by speeches from Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Opposition leader Judith Collins, and speeches from the leaders of the Greens and ACT.
