Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has confirmed Auckland and the rest of New Zealand will shift down COVID-19 alert levels.
Auckland has been at alert level 3 since Sunday and the rest of the country at level 2 after COVID-19 cases were found in the community.
No new coronavirus cases were reported on Friday.
Civil Defence Minister Kiri Allan also providerd an update on the tsunami threat level to New Zealand following two earthquakes off the coast of the country earlier in the day.
