The Child Cancer Foundation is auctioning a private lunch date with ACT leader David Seymour in a bid to raise money for its charitable endeavours.
The highest bidder will get to go to lunch with the Epsom MP at the iconic Bellamy's Restaurant in the Beehive, along with two of their friends. The lunch will be followed by a private tour of Parliament.
At the time of writing, 75 people have added the auction to their watchlist and 65 have made bids. The current bid is sitting at $10,050.
All of the money will go to the Child Cancer Foundation as part of Ryan Bridge's 36 Hour Talkathon on Magic Talk.
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a personalized tour of Parliament by one of New Zealand's political superstars, as well as sit down for a meal and a chat," the auction reads on Trade Me.
"Once the auction has been won, we will arrange a date that suits both you and David before October 15.
"The winner of this auction will need to get themselves to Wellington for this experience. If you cannot get to Wellington, arrangements can be made to meet in another city. This will mean lunch at a different restaurant and forgoing the tour of Parliament."
The Child Cancer Foundation is currently supporting 1400 families through different stages of their journeys with childhood cancer. Every year, they require $6 million to do so.
From 6am on Thursday, July 15 to 6pm on Friday, July 16, Magic Talk host Ryan Bridge will remain on-air for a 36-hour, nonstop talkathon to raise as much money for the Child Cancer Foundation as possible.
The auction closes on July 9.
