Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is holding a press conference at the Beehive to announce the Government's COVID-19 alert decision.
The Prime Minister will be joined by Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield, who will have given advice to Cabinet about whether it's safe to bring New Zealand, with the exception of Auckland, down to alert level 2.
Auckland's alert level 4 settings will be reviewed next week.
