Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is holding her post-Cabinet press conference at the Beehive in Wellington.
She will be joined by Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield to give an update on the Delta outbreak.
Auckland shifted to alert level 3 last Wednesday and Ardern said at the time the city would remain under those restrictions for at least two weeks.
The Ministry of Health registered 12 new community cases on Monday, all in Auckland, after 18 were reported on Sunday, 18 on Saturday, and just nine on Friday.
