Talks between Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Australian leader Anthony Albanese have begun in Sydney.
The pair were pictured ahead of their bilateral shaking hands in front of Australian and New Zealand flags at Commonwealth Parliament Offices.
Ardern was accompanied by an entourage, including New Zealand High Commissioner to Australia Dame Annette King and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Secretary Chris Seed.
Following their meeting, Ardern and Albanese will front media for a joint press conference at about 1:20pm. Newshub will livestream that.
The two leaders already met for an informal dinner on Thursday night at Kirribilli House, the Australian Prime Minister's official Sydney residence. On the menu was fennel soup, salmon, kingfish, a panna cotta and also Australian wines.
Ardern and Albanese exchanged vinyl records, albums, and band shirts.
There's a lot on their agenda to discuss on Friday, including the 501 deportation issue, regional security, climate change and Kiwis' rights in Australia.
Earlier on Friday, Ardern appeared on a number of Australian breakfast shows. On Today, she addressed China's growing influence in the Pacific, something Australia is also monitoring closely.
